So I just want to know, what is the best way to deal with all the paper that comes into your home daily? Please comment!

Are you talking about clutter or recycling?

Or bills or newspaper? I let my kids draw on it. And then it goes in the recycle bin when they are done.

Throw junk mail in the garbage outside before it even makes it into the house. If it's something that needs shredded either do it immediately or put it by the shredder so you'll remember. Don't let it pile up somewhere else. Don't save newspapers or magazines. Anything you might want to save out of church magazines is available online. I only save the conference issue after I've read them and only until the next one. Read them and toss them or donate magazines to your gym. I do all of my bills online so I file the main pages and toss the extra envelopes into the recycle bin. Google "Flylady" online for awesome tips on keeping clutter down.

Personally I think making a lovely pile of the papers is kind of fun. That way, each time you walk by you can see how completely out of control your life is. Save all the catalogs--you just might want to peruse them while you're having your hair done! The advertising, well, you just never know when it might come in handy! And in case you ever feel bad about the height of the stack, you know you can throw it away guilt free, because anyone with anything really important to say will send you another one or call you later. I do this about every month, and it's such a nice feeling to throw the mountain away. It's a neat stack too! I'll have to take a picture to show you. I learned this from my husband who takes a million dental journals, brings them home to a basket I designated for him, and then once a year we just toss them out. All his good intentions of reading them too! But it sure feels good to see the bottom of the basket once a year!! hehe
